Mary's Salsa
1/2 bushel tomatoes, scald, peel and quartered
8 green peppers, chopped
8 onions, chopped
8 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 small can chopped green chilies
2 2/3 cup red wine vinegar
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 Tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 Tablespoon oregano
1 Tablespoon salt
4 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon onion powder.
Mix above mixture in a big kettle. Boil for 6 hours, stirring frequently. Sugar causes this to scorch easily. Place in sterilized pint jars and freeze.
