Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins

1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin
1/2 cup water
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 11.5 oz. package of milk chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, mix sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. Add pumpkin and water.
2. In a medium bowl combine dry ingredients.
3. Pour flour mixture into pumpkin mixture and stir until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake for 15 minutes or until just done. Do not overcook. They are best moist.
Makes 2 doz.
